Good weather brought for a heavy amount of bikes and a little bit of controversy at this year’s Monstertrack.
Close to 200 showed up with bikes in tote for the ride from Affinity over the Williamsburg bridge to the start of the race. A few botched checkpoints and some manifest mistakes made for some almost instantaneous controversy at the finish. To make it short, Afred won, Austin got second, and Crihs was third. A $500 sprint off at the end between J.T., Filipe, Hugo, and Crihs to smooth over some of the controversy led to J.T. taking the dough. For a full recap go here.
